Charlotte Harbor Auto Body and Sales: A NEW LOCATION AND NAME FOR A LONG-TIME BUSINESS

Our New Shop!Kurt Benner had a vision that someday his A-1 Autobody & Sales Inc. (now doing business as CHARLOTTE HARBOR AUTO BODY & SALES) would be in a newer, larger location. When Hurricane Charlie damaged its facilities on Kings Highway, the plan was placed on the front burner.

Look for us around town.The family owned and operated business that started out in 1978 on Harborview Road, moved from the Kings Highway site to its state-of-the-art facility located at 23119 Foster Ave. between KFC and McDonald's, in Charlotte Harbor.  The blue building covers 6,000 square feet.

Kurt is the owner and Vice President.  His stepfather, George Orthouse, is the president.  The staff includes:

  • Don Ellis-  manager, with 38 years experience
  • Shane McClelland-  body man, 22 years experience
  • John Simmons-  painter, 18 years experience
